We provide services to approximately 19,000 cows on 125 dairy units. The average herd size is 155 cows, ranging from 20 to 400. The practice provides routine herd health visits to over 70 dairy farmers on a regular basis. Ultrasound scanning is used for pregnancy diagnosis and fertility work.
| The practice has been granted approved centre status for the Cattle Health and Production Courses, by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. This reflects our commitment and expertise in Cattle Medicine.The practice has always been at the forefront of introducing new ideas to the dairy farmer. There is a very enthusiastic approach to continuing professional development and Post graduate qualifications are encouraged. Our large animal team hold four post-graduate qualifications in bovine medicine. Two of our vets are recognised specialists in cattle health and production.

Our dairy clients can get advice on issues of calf pneumonia, calf scour, cow abortion, lame cows digital dermatitis and other diseases of the bovine claw, foot trimming, mastitis, husk, infertility. We carry out professional work on behalf of DEFRA. This includes TB testing, blood and anthrax tests, export certification etc. We use mobile phones to communicate to ensure that we can offer the best possible service to our clients. We use a professional telephonist service for our out of hour telephone handling.
