The practice has considerable experience running medicine trial work to VICH Good Clinical Practice. We have been involved in this area for over two decades and trial work has been carried out for registration and marketing purposes.
Five of the practice dairy vets have been trained up to VICH standards and have acted as medicine trial investigators.
We have also been proactive in involvement with protocol design where we have found that we can assist with many of the practical and logistical items which will be encountered by investigators and farmers.
By ensuring the protocol is well designed maximises caseload and minimises drop out, thereby speeding up the trial time and saving cost.

Our practice base of 21,000 cows and followers provides a source of material for trial work. The practice herd size ranges from 50 to 500 dairy cows.
Over 40 of our 120 dairy herds have been involved in medicine trial work. Our clients like the involvement in this area of work as they know that without it new products or novel applications would not be developed.
